Artists must have some evidence of professional achievement (with three 7-10 minute physically-based movement works already publicly presented in a 2 year timespan) but must be early career and not recognized as established artists with a substantial record of accomplishment.
Artists must be wiling to work with a mentor, and commit to rehearsals and showings at BAAD! in The Bronx.
Begun in 2014, Pepatián’s Dancing Futures Residency, produced in partnership with our wonderful partner BAAD!, offers emerging Bronx-based and/or dance artists of color with resources, performance opportunities, mentorship, and documentation to strengthen and shine a spotlight on The Bronx as a creative incubator of new dance and performance work.
