Vanessa Gonzalez received her B.A. in Art History from SUNY Purchase in 2008. As a Bronx-based aspiring curator, she has a fascination with the intersections of technology, pop culture, art activism and digital art. Vanessa strongly believes in work that seeks in some way to change the world. She has curated shows for BAAD! (with Pepatian), The Nuyorican Poets and Jazz Ensemble and Longwood Arts Project. Vanessa currently works at the Bronx Council on the Arts as an Assistant Project Coordinator, in addition to her role as Assistant Director for the Bronx Heroes Comic Convention.
